Section A
1. Define Financial System. Discuss the important, functions of a Financial System,

3. Define Primary Market. Explain the methods of flotations of Primary Market Instruments.
4. Discuss the objectives and functions of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI].
5. Define the term Derivatives. Discuss the various derivatives products traded on organized exchange.
6. Write short notes on any two of the following:
(a) Credit Rating.
(b) Benefits of Mutual Funds.
(c) importance of Secondary Market.
7. Differentiate between the following:
(a) Leasing and Hire Purchase.
(b) Factoring and Forfaiting.

From the information given below, you are required to advice about leasing out of the asset;
Cost of Equipment: Rs. 4,00,000
Average Cost of Capital to Leassor: 12%
Depreciation (Allowable): 20% on Original Cost
Expected Life of Asset : 5 Years
Salvage Value: Nil Lease Rent payable at the end of each five years : Rs. 1,50,000
Corporate Tax (Applicable to Lessor):
30% P. V. of an annuity of Re 1. for 5 years at 12% is R$ 3.605.
